Yesterday afternoon my partner and I decided we wanted Italian for dinner. We’re on a budget, so to the grocery store we went, looking for the cheapest, best pasta and sauce we could find. While in the sauce aisle we noticed an Arrabiata sauce and both commented on how it would probably be too spicy for our taste. So we bought a five cheese sauce and some simple spaghetti noodles and went home to prepare it. While getting everything ready I remembered that my mother had given me some unused, frozen Italian sausage the previous week. The container was unmarked and little did we know, filled with very spicy Italian sausage. Without knowing this I fried the sausage in the skillet, mixed it with the simple marinara we purchased and plated our meals. We sat down, took a bite, looked at each other and immediately realized the dish was far too spicy for our taste. We also agreed that we are constant victims of irony.

My family means more to me than anything else on earth. I have two brothers. One lives in Dallas and has a beautiful little girl. I don’t get to see them very often, but I make sure that I spend as much time as I can with them when they are home. My niece is the sweetest little girl I know. She is always saying something funny or doing something cute. My brother is always supportive and is full of advice. He is the best older brother anyone could ask for. My younger brother is fun to be around too. He is always saying or doing something completely crazy and is always good for a laugh. He has a little girl and a little boy that are always fun to be with too. 

I have had many jobs since I starting working as a teenager. Most of them I have enjoyed quite a bit, and some of them I have hated quite a bit. My favorite job so far has been working as a cashier at a popular home improvement store. I really like working with everyone that I got to work with. I also enjoyed engaging in conversations with all the different people I met. There were my fair share of not so nice people that I had to deal with as there is with any job out there. There wasn’t anything particularly fun about this job but the people I worked with made everyday fun.

One is a Kia Optima. This is the car we drive most often, and I have to say, I have a real love/hate relationship with this car. It's good on gas, and it's pretty roomy. The downside- it's a total brat. The transmission is one of those his and hers deals that you shift between automatic and manual. The automatic part doesn't work, so I have to drive her like a manual, and her 3rd gear sticks. Our other car is a Gran Prix, and it's just falling apart. The doors don't open from the outside, so we have to leave the windows down- meaning the car is wet all the time, and it grows plants in the floor boards.

College is a great experience, but it's definitely not what I expected. With out a doubt, the freedom and responsibility it provides to a growing adult is one of the best parts. I love the fact that I can choose what classes I take, and that I don't have teachers reminding me every 5 minutes about what is and isn't due. I like being treated like an adult. I like being around adults, who want to learn, and don't HAVE to be in school. The entire atmosphere is adult and more appropriate to learn in than high school was. I love it.

I moved to Las Vegas from Michigan the day I graduated college. I bought a brand new house the same week. I love my little 1,300 square foot house. It’s pink with a one car garage a patio and a balcony. It is perfect for my dog and I. I have always had roommates because I do not like to live alone. But I bought it small and cheap with the intentions that one day I will live alone. It’s so perfect I do not even have a yard, so it has minimal maintenance. I have had it for seven years as of last week.
